The art of an unhurried weekend.
A new view, a long lunch, and absolutely no need to see it all.

A short break doesn’t have to feel short. Give a weekend fewer moving parts and you might find it feels much bigger than the space it takes up on your calendar.
Choose one place to settle in
Moving between several places can use up the very time you set aside to unwind. Consider spending your whole break in one base, with room to explore nearby.
Think about what you want to have within easy reach. Somewhere you can step out for breakfast or an evening walk can make even an ordinary part of the day feel like a holiday.
Find a small ritual
Return to the same spot for a morning coffee. Take a walk before dinner. Read a chapter by the window. Repetition can help an unfamiliar place begin to feel like your own.
You don’t need an impressive story for every hour you spend away. Enjoying where you are is a perfectly good use of the afternoon.
Give the weekend an easy ending
Think about the journey home when you plan the break. Leave time to pack, eat, and get to your departure point without making your last few hours a race.
Keep the next morning simple too, if you can. A little breathing room on either side of the trip can help the feeling last.
You don’t have to see everything to feel like you’ve been somewhere.
